Before temporarily leaving Belgium, check the validity of your passport and residence permit, as well as your right of return. Consult the municipal temporary absence procedure. An orange card alone does not allow return to Belgium or free movement within the Schengen area. In the event of a current renewal or provisional document, have your situation checked before the trip.
